W Magazine : HAMMAM

Kate Moss is simply amazing in this Hammam editorial styled by Alex White simply amazing. If ever you wondered just how she reached her supermodel status, there are photos such as these that remind you why. When my eyes first met with these photos all I could think of was how simply amazing these movements are. Not only did Kate Moss make this editorial but a team comprised of Alex White-the stylist and Mert Alas&Marcus Piggot-photographers brought it all together.......Stunning

Derek Lam Spring 2009

Derek Lam's Spring 2009 collection can be summed up in one word, fluidity. Its no secret that Lam's collection was created with motion in mind. His pieces definitely take comfort and elegance to a different level. Consisting of slouchy jumpsuit, leisure jackets, cigarette pants and suits. All of these pieces are created using a vast mix of soft relaxed colors(with the exception of a few metallic pieces), subdued embellshments and drawsting trimmings. Its not anything I haven't seen before but why should that stop me from loving this collection.

Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2009

Hold for applause............I must say, Narciso Rodriguez has definitely created a very sexy sophisticate spring line. Upon first view of the collection, you get somewhat of a Balenciaga feel due to overly sculpted jackets but that view changes almost immediately as he unveils his dresses. The dresses, dare I mention, feature crisscross bodices and ever changing fabrics that transcend from day to evening wear colors.

With hints of colors here and there, cutout necklines, and beaded bodices, I feel its right to dubbed this runway Narciso most provocative collection yet. This, in my opinion, is one of the more notable collections for spring. I am simply amazed by this line, in which Narciso always delivers memorable pieces.

Alexander Wang Spring 09 Collection

Well, Alexander Wang definitely stayed true to par with his Spring 09 collection. With an apparent reminiscence of his previous
resort & fall collections, Wang delivers a line comprised of boyfriend blazers, mesh & silk fabrics, super skinny pants and an array of dark hues. One noticeable element, not present in Wang's previous collections, is the neon pops of color. They are evident in a few blazers, shorts and skirts but are so minimal you almost miss they're presence.

The element which brings his looks together whether it be the glam biker, the LBD or even "everyday" casual is hands down the accessories. The footwear, dare I mention, is just as fabulous as in his Resort collection. These chaussures, donning sky-high platforms and chain accents, are nothing less than what you'd expect from Alexander. On the other hand, the leather skull cap, was definitely a surprising accent in his collection. I must say I'm not necessarily a fan of this accessory but it definitely flows with his designs. Hopefully his Fall 09 collection will be full of new lines, fabrics and shapes vs. more of the same Wang as we've seen in past seasons.
