My Top 8

I was tagged by the gorgeous Shen-Shen to list my top 8's of the follwing:

Eight Things I Have A Passion For:
1. My family
2. My friends
3. Designing, I love making and creating clothes
4. Writing
5. Cooking, people are really shocked by this but I am a really good cook. I guess they look at how small I am and assume I don’t eat much. Big misconception.
6. Old movies, I love old movies. Barefoot in the Park, Meet Me in St. Louis, An Affair to remember, etc. I’m obsessed.
7. Eating sushi, I love sushi. It make’s me feel so healthy, although it isn’t very filling so I almost always eat somewhere else afterwards.
8. Mike Rowe, love, love, love him. He’s extremely sexy to me. He’s my idea of a real man’s man.

Eight Things I Would Like To Do Before I Die:
1. Get married, I know to get married I should probably get out there and date but I guess I’m just pacing myself.
2. Have kids one day when I married of course, but right now I’m enjoying my freedom.
3. Travel the world. Go to places like Rome, France, UK etc.
4. Start my own clothing line.
5. Work for a magazine, possible W or Vogue.
6. Get my driver’s license. I know, its ridiculous but driving really scares me. Although I had my permit like 5yrs. ago and a waver I never got my license. Its time to give up the fear and get it.
7. Start a charity to help underprivileged children/women.
8. I’m drawing a blank…. But my main goal in life is to be a good person, with a good heart and to help anyone that I can along the way!!!

Eight Things I Say A Lot:
1. “Cutie" - What I call my little "brother".
2. “Is it because I'm the youngest"- I say this all the time jokingly to my siblings because I'm always the last to know everything.
3. “Why are you talking so loud” - Usually to my sister Kris because she doesn’t realize her volume is so loud.
4. “Oh, Lord” - Joking comment/I can't believe you're serious.
5. “Hi”- Extremely high pitched to my brother every morning.
6. “Goodnight, love you” - To my parent and siblings, every night before I go to sleep.
7. “I am too uptight”- Me wanting to stop acting so much older than my age and relax. Be young.
8. “I‘ll take a water”- I rarely/never drink alcohol so I’m usually the only one at the bar ordering a water.

Eight Books I Have Read Recently:
1. This is really bad but I very rarely read. I know I have to start back again but I haven’t actually sat down and read a book in over a year. I know…don’t judge. Haha.

Eight Movies I Have Seen Eight Times:
1. Sabrina- The original and the remake.
2. Dirty Dancing- I love this movie.
3.The Notebook-Sigh….
4. Ever After- Love.
5. An Affair to Remember- Original
6. Pretty Woman-Classic
7. Footloose- Love
8. Funny Face- Love
I am a really big fan of old movies as you can see. I love the simplicity and dramatized wardrobes. Plus my mom and I usually like to watch them together.

I wish I knew how to cook, I think my boyfriend would really appreciate it, even though we'll be spending the next four year at an all you can eat buffet in college anyways!

I'm not a fan of driving either, but I would really just like some freedom! I get my license in October, I think. :DDD

I think if I ever go to a bar I'll be the one wanting a water too, I keep on trying to like wine because I feel like it's something sophisticated people would do, but I just hate the way it tastes!

Also, along the same lines as the sophisticatedness, I have never seen most of your movies! (Except for The Notebook, gotta love it!) That makes me feel a bit uncultured.

There you go, novel! :P

I know, wine is not my thing. Nor is most alcohol. Sometime's I wish I didn't cook because I can't just throw something together to eat. Its always like big meals, so annoying.

With the movies, I get that from my mom. She's love watching older movies so I started watchng them with her and then I just ended up watching them on my own. But that's just what I was raised on. But look at me, I haven't read a book in over a year......that's pretty bad and yet you've read a lot. We've all got our things I guess. I'll think about you when I bite the bullet and take my drivers test, hopefully I work up the courage before summer is out, but I highly doubt it, at least one of us will have one!!! :)

Hi A La Femme, I noticed that you have a passion for Mike Rowe. He seems to be popular with the ladies!

I wanted to give you a heads up on the brand new Dirty Jobs special which is part of this year's Shark Week. In the special, Mike Rowe is on a quest for the Greenland Shark. You can find more info about it at the website:

http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/sharkweek/sharkweek.html

I hope you don't mind me reaching out to you like this; you seem to be a big fan of Mike Rowe so I imagine you'll want to catch the special. If you'd like more info, I'd be happy to share... I work with Discovery and have the inside scoop. Have a great day, and nice job with your blog!
