Well, after pining over Givenchy fall08' collection for the last couple of month's I decided to try incorporating their looks with my very own wardrobe. It wasn't difficult at all, seeing that I have a vast number of dark pieces. I loved how I could easily incorporate the looks and how they seemed so wearable. This is a post I will definitely continue.
Of course with the first look, seeing that I don't own 100 gold chains and have a large amount of love for my back I opted not to pile on 50 lbs. of Jacob Marley-esque neckware, so instead used pink pearls. A black dress is not hard to come by in my closet, in this case a Rachel Pally V-neck dress fit the bill. I then paired them with a pair of patent peep toe boots which fit in perfectly. With the second look I paired a vintage lace dress, which I used as a top, with a black Rachel Pally pocket skirt and peep toe boots again. Lastly I paired a Pixie Hopkins ruffle blouse, with a tuxedo H&M blazer, American Apparel Lame Leggings.

What a wonderful set of looks, I am completely obsessed with this collection. Especially the 50 pounds of gold on black. After scrolling through your blog a bit, I absolutely adore that you love a lot of the same collections I do! And you're a crazy water drinker like me! Meant to be! Hahah...:)
Thank you for linking me, I'll get you linked too!
Hope you're well, lovie!
Thank you so much Laurel, I'm sure we'll be writing again soon!! :)
Hey youuuu! Thank you for the sweet comment. I really do appreciate you reading that post, it was tough to write, but I was pretty tired of reading peoples' negative and super nasty comments about someone who they didn't even know. It gets tiring after awhile, but it's easy to see through the people who judge on such a level. You know?
I think you are incredibly gorgeous and I already can see what a wonderful and kind personality you have. Just be yourself, and don't listen to anyone else!
Thank you for voting in the Search - I wish voting could be more than every 24 hours, but they gotta make it fair! hahaha...
Voting goes until August 1st, so there is plenty of time to see what happens!
;)
i made a whole post in my blog dedicated to givenchy! well, it had to share with vivienne westwood, actually, but i'm SO obsessive about the collection. it's amazing. fabulous. wonderful. inspiring. ahhhh. and your outfits are amazing!
Wow Laurel and Emily, you girls are so amazing. Thank you so much for your comments!! I'll be sure to continue to vote Laurel!!!:)
You did an excellent job. I prefer your necklaces than the piles of gold since it could easily look excessively cheap.
Thank you so much Wendy. Your comments are so nice!! :)
Really gorgeous!!!
Thank you Couture Carrie!!!
I adore Givenchy! Those looks are fabulous, as are your takes on the looks! I particularly love the lace, and those lamé leggings. I've been wanting a pair of those for forever :)
Hehe, and thanks for those points ;)
Whooooa! Your style is really refreashing...and those boots are stunning....wow.
Tart
wow i love this! i would use white pearls in the first look though - and some ribbon too
you remind me of a mix of chanel iman and genevieve jones
Thank you for the comments Shen-Shen. You definitely deserve the points. This is actually my first time wearing the leggings, they been sitting in my closet collecting dust up until now. I'm still waiting to wear them outside.
Thank you so much Paris Tart and Tinsley. I actually was originally going to use white pearls but the thought of taking hours rumaging through my garage to find them was less than appealing. So I opted for the pink because they were already hanging on my door.
The third look is very "GLAMazon-esque" !!! The silhouette is built on a strictly abstract mode, and the lame legging are delightfully "SM Chic" . . .
ps: a Fetishist cannot be insensible in these Arrogant-issimes shoes !!! Conqueror Femininity . . .
Bien à Toi, Antoine
