They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…….they say. Since the beginning of our fashionable ancestry, designers have created pieces from different muses. But of course back then it wasn’t such a faux pas to create similar pieces from other designers. Nowadays similar designs in most cases are widely scrutinized, but when it comes to fashions heavy hitters it seems to be excepted. Almost as though there is a mutual respect for one another’s craft. So lets pay homage to those designers who respect one another’s craft so much that they embrace it, shall we.

want to trade links ?!
great post!!
Thanks Saray!!
fab comparisons! ♥
I think Desogner are always getting inspiration from each other. The shoes from Prada spring 2008, and Chloe fall 2008 are quite similar.
I think they all look great imitation or not.
Yeah I'm sure they all take from each other. I think its refreshing that a high end label like Chanel uses designs from Chloe, it shows that its just about delivering great fashion no matter where the original idea came from.
i like all the stuff on the left better, haha.
Haha, well everything on the left is the remake versions of the originals. But everything on the left is also for fall so I guess you're a girl of the now Emily. :)
wow. i never realized all those items were so similar. i guess when you put them next to each other like that, the similarities are shocking. yikes!
brands overlap factories, so its just as easy to change a strap here and put a logo there
